For this World Oceans Day, I had the privilege of helping as a photographer's assistant and supporting the MICA Co Lab team at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. This annual event was an eye-opening opportunity to speak with brilliant people who share a love and passion for our ocean.

This is also my third time returning to the Smithsonian Ocean Hall to support the MICA Co Lab team. Since December 2022, MICA Co Lab has been reprising its role as a visiting expert for the Expert Is In program series. The program allows visitors to have informal conversations with scientists and experts, and we have been introducing ways artists and biomaterials can help rehabilitate marine habitats.
