I was auditing the Intro to Digital Fabrication course, and we all collectively thought that the world would be a better place with a 6ft Flying Pig Rocking Chair.
Challenge was to split the tasks among a class of students effectively. Students with excellent fiber skills focused on dressing the wood and foam with soft fabric, and some focused on the rocking mechanism.
My portion of the work was to design the 3D body of the foam to fit the side of the pig.

It was a tough finals week with students working a lot of late nights, but we pulled through!
As always CNC work needed to be sanded down afterwards to make sure it all fits without being too lose. I also painted the exterior and ended up having a lot of fun with my peers.
Super rewarding experience to see people's reactions at the sight of a 6ft Flying Pig Rocking Chair.
