During one of my first classes in art school, our professor introduced us to simple bookbinding: how to make simple zines and make your own sketchbooks with cereal box covers.
Once I taught myself how to bind hardcover books, I started making my own sketchbooks! Given that most of my friends are gifted artists, I bound books with custom materials to their taste and gave them as graduation presents.
While my schedule didn't allow for formal bookbinding classes, I pursued the craft through online courses during breaks.

Leveraging skills like laser cutting to overcome challenges with precision, I tailored my creations to fit into my preferred sketching bags.
I also shared my knowledge with younger Illustration students as a Teaching Assistant, offering demos to help them avoid the mistakes I made in my own journey.
